About our support
What does Support Connect do?
We help identify learning and wellbeing support needs and provide tailored support. This can include neurodiversity screening, support plans, one-to-one mentoring, assistive technology guidance and online learning resources.
Our approach brings together identifying needs, providing support and recording progress. Explore our services.
Do I need a diagnosis to ask about support?
No. You can contact us to discuss the challenges you are experiencing and the support that might help, whether or not you have a diagnosis. The support available will depend on your circumstances and any arrangements with your provider or employer.
Does the neurodiversity screener provide a diagnosis?
No. The screener helps identify strengths and challenges associated with neurodivergent traits. Its results provide guidance about possible learning and wellbeing support needs; they are not a clinical diagnosis.
What might a support plan include?
A plan is tailored to the individual. It may include learning and wellbeing strategies, one-to-one mentoring, assistive technology, online resources, targets and reviews. Support can be adapted as needs change.
How do I get started?
If your training provider or employer is arranging support, speak to your usual contact there. You can also email admin@supportconnect.org.uk or call 01905 427815 to discuss your needs and the next steps.
Providers and employers
Can you support apprentices and training providers?
Yes. We work with apprentices and training providers to identify support needs, put support in place and record progress through plans, session records, targets and reviews.
Visit our apprenticeships page for more information, or contact us to discuss your learners.
Can you help employers support their staff?
We help employers understand learning and wellbeing needs and explore practical support for their workforce. Visit our employers page and contact us to discuss your organisation’s needs.
Where can I find out about the learning platform?
Our learning management system page explains the platform and how it brings learning and support information together. Contact the team to discuss how it could work for your organisation.
Accounts and learning
How do I sign in or reset my password?
Use the sign-in page with your account details. If you have forgotten your password, request a password reset and check your inbox and junk folder. If you have not received account details, contact the team or the organisation arranging your support.
Why can’t I see a course, resource or support record?
The information available depends on your account and the access arranged for you. Check that you are signed into the right account. If something you expect to see is missing, contact us with the name of the item so we can check.
What should I do if a learning activity is not working?
Save your work before refreshing or closing the page. Note the activity title and any error message, then follow the steps on our technical help page. Contact us if the problem continues or your progress appears to be missing.
Can I request information in another format?
Yes. Tell us which information you need and what format or support would help. You can email or phone the team. Our accessibility statement explains how to report barriers and request help.
