Helping you to:Identify the needDeliver the supportEvidence the progress

Think of Support Connect as your extended support team; here to help your apprentices succeed.

You gain a support model that makes it easy to review, manage and track progress

Our portal enables you to easily identify the needs of an apprentice, refer them to determine a pathway to support and review measurable progress that aligns with funding regulations and compliance.

You choose the level of involvement you need from us.

A neurodiversity screening tool and dashboard for your cohorts, that you can manage independently

Our very own neurodiversity screening tool, This Is Me, is available to your cohorts, for free:

  • It identifies traits, learning and wellbeing needs that may not emerge through conversation alone
  • Easy-to-read reports with practical tips and suggestions
  • You can review screener progress and results with ease on our dedicated portal, making it easy to blanket screen a cohort and identify individual learning needs
  • We provide guidance so that your team can use our screening tool independently

This gives you the flexibility to decide whether you want to support an apprentice in-house or refer them to us for an in-person needs assessment and support recommendations

If you would like to try the neurodiversity screener yourself, or trial it with a learner, please register your interest below.

Funding and compliance confidence matters as much as delivery

Referring an apprentice for additional support is easier than you think.

Not only do we provide you with the evidence required, under the funding regulations, to draw down funding towards our services, we also ensure compliance with apprenticeship funding rules and Ofsted regulations, and can guide your team on the claiming process.

Training provider feedback

JGA has worked with Support Connect for the past five years and in that time our learners who have required support have gone from strength to strength.

The wraparound support provided is so thorough and perfectly tailored to each learner's needs, enabling them to have the confidence to progress and succeed in their learning journey.

Lisa MacCormac - Director of Quality and Performance, JGA

Inspection feedback

Ofsted inspectors have described our systems and services as extremely comprehensive; highlighting the quality of Support Plans, the way session records are linked to Individual Learning Plan targets and learner progression, as well as the monthly reviews capturing the learner’s own voice.

More than one learner said, “I wouldn’t still be on my course, if it weren’t for the support I receive.”

Compliance and learner-impact evidence is what we help training providers demonstrate, so that they can access the funding they need and continue to provide the support their apprentices need.

A clear route from referral to support

The process takes out the guesswork, provides clarity and alleviates administrative workload for your team

1. Screen

To help you identify strengths, challenges, neurodivergent traits and wellbeing of your apprentices, and determine the level of support needed.

2. Refer

When you need our team to further explore the screening results and carry out a more in-depth, in-person needs assessment to inform a Support Plan.

3. Plan

We arrange and host, directly with the apprentice, an in-person, online meeting to discuss their support needs in more detail and provide recommendations in their individual Support Plan.

4. Deliver

Where specialist learning or wellbeing mentoring, or assistive technology training is agreed, we arrange and book these sessions directly with the apprentice.

5. Review

Apprentice-informed and Mentor-driven, regular reviews capture progress and any changes needed so that support remains relevant and impactful.

6. Evidence

Support plans, session records, reviews and progress evidence are maintained throughout to create a clear audit trail.

Extend your in-house Support Team’s capacity

As the awareness and appeal of apprenticeships continues to grow, we know your teams are stretched to capacity but still need to fully support individual learning and wellbeing needs.

You don’t have to stretch your support team or overhaul your support offering to meet demand. You can add on our specialist support when you need it, making support requests and delivery easier to manage, especially where one-to-one mentoring is needed beyond what your in-house team can consistently sustain.

Working alongside your team

We are not only here to support your apprentices, but Tutors, Learning Coaches and Safeguarding Leads. It’s about collaboration and sharing regular progress updates, to provide aligned support.

Aligned goals and reviews

Sessions align with individual learning plan priorities and progress reviews ensure that support adapts as needs change, enabling both personal and professional development.

Remote, easy to access support

Adaptable around learning and workplace demands, deadlines and apprenticeship milestones, sessions are arranged to be manageable, not overwhelming.

Supporting you with the evidence you need to access funding

We help to deliver the support and maintain the evidence required, making it easy for you to manage and submit your funding claims.

You maintain the control

We provide the support

Screening and referral

You oversee the initial screening, before referral, to help you determine if you need our support or not.

Once referred, we review the evidence and liaise directly with the apprentice to provide you with support recommendations.

Maintaining evidence

You retain access to all evidence of support and decide how it is used within your own quality, audit and funding processes.

From initial support plans to ongoing support sessions, evidence is maintained and easy to review.

Progress and engagement

You decide who receives progress updates, with monthly liaison meetings and notes to share with your team.

Engagement and progress is reviewed and logged on our portal, with any changes to support shared with you for approval.

Claiming funding

You submit your funding claims with full control and confidence, because of the visibility and evidence of the support delivered.

Not only do we provide the evidence required but ensure compliance with funding rules and Ofsted regulations.

Programme delivery

You oversee each apprentice’s support journey with us, enabling you to keep your team informed, monitor progress and see impact.

We keep you informed every step of the way, from support needs to engagement, development and safeguarding concerns.

We can connect you to the support you need
